Who We Are
Wereber Community is a grassroots, community-led organisation offering peer support, advocacy, and health education for individuals living with long-term conditions. We exist to create safe, affirming spaces where people can share lived experiences, access support without judgment, and cultivate strength through community connection.Our work is built on trust, compassion, and a deep understanding that healing and wellbeing happen best when people feel truly seen and included.
Our Mission
To empower individuals living with long-term illnesses, especially within Black and LGBTQ+ communities, through peer support, health education, and targeted HIV services that uphold dignity, strengthen resilience, and promote health equity.
Our Vision
A Southeast London where:
Everyone has equal access to testing, treatment, and prevention services.
Stigma related to HIV/AIDS and long-term illness is eradicated.
Peer support is recognised as a cornerstone of community wellbeing.
Black and LGBTQ+ people feel affirmed, informed, and supported in every health journey.
